Advantage Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc. came to life in May of 1992. Randy Ortiz, founder and present CEO, created Advantage with the belief that the people of Northeast Kansas desired more from the heating and cooling industry. One warm spring afternoon, four service calls were performed; Advantage came to life!
Advantage recalls the years from 1992 to 1994 as our infancy years. Like all babies, we had a nick name. During early 1992, Advantage was known as Advantage Repair Service. Although Advantage was a “baby” in the industry, we understood that our customers provided our diapers and milk.
Our teen years were from 1995 to 2004. Just like all teenagers we thought we knew everything. Fortunately, we made more right decisions than wrong ones. During this decade, we never lost track of who was paying for our gas, insurance, and lively hood … our customers.
The mature years were from 2005 to 2007. These were the most important years of Advantage’s life. Although Advantage was old enough to drive and were now experts in service, installations and customer service, we wanted to do more. Advantage was mature and ready to become a great business.
Finally, the adult years, from 2007 to present. What a long, strange trip it’s been!! Today, Advantage Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc. has a reputation second to none. We have become the number one Rheem dealer in the Kansas City Metropolitan Area. Rheem equipment is rated number one in Consumer Reports© magazine for dependability. Advantage has played a major role in making Rheem number one.
During the years, Advantage has won many awards including awards from Habitat for Humanity, The Lawrence Humane Society, The Ballard Center, and a supporter from The Women’s Transition Center.
As an adult, we continue to gain wisdom. We have become experts in energy audits, high efficiency heating and cooling equipment, insulating attics/walls, and duct/dryer cleanings. We are certified with BPI (Building Performance Institution) for energy auditing and performing corrections. Our core value is Safety, People, and Profits. Our culture is second to none.
During May 2011, Advantage will have our twentieth birthday! It’s exciting planning our celebration. That one warm spring afternoon in May of 1992 when four service calls were performed, and twenty years later two of those clients are still our clients!
It may have been a long, strange trip, but every day we are grateful for the clients and friends that we have made during our lifetime. We look forward to becoming an elder with you, our client, our friend.
